 “If we have a National Virtue, it is that we are generous, if we have a National defect, it is that¬¬ we are too generous.”

 This line I choose it because until where the generosity can became arrogance. The way a people think can change a whole humanity even a country. There are always certain perspectives from each person but we are our own defect.

 “Been serving you someone growing incredibly weak, when I could’ve been serving someone strong and getting stronger.”

 This quote is interesting because people always choose to work with the strongest and the one who is getting bigger and better. However, in this world the reality is that the old ones always are save they know how to live and if they still alive because they know the danger and know also how to overcome it. The new ones that think are owners of the world fall easier because do not know what to expect.

 “This is time, be kind to one another. Remember each of you wants to be happy and I want you to, every one of you wants to live free from fear and I want you to.”

This line actually reflects and it is similar to what “God” wants for us as humanity. According, to the bible he wanted that we love each other as our self he gave the life for us because he doesn’t want us to suffer but on return he just wanted that love and take care of all of us.

 This line is very touching for me because people have different opinions of how we are made and how we are suppose to be. The discrimination and differences and superiority has always exist on our humanity so we might no see it but is hard to believe on our selves that we perfect and good enough for our goals.

Here we can see a clear picture of the impotence we might be suffering today for the fairness that we pass. Sometimes the fear to not speak up is what cause wrong decisions like this one.

 We as human pass the same situation we know that there is a good and we have hear from it but we sometimes or not prayed so this is something very similar for us today.

The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil

The sociological imagination is related to our story because Phil an outer citizen has actually a Love problem with one for the inner citizen but this inner citizen known as Carol doesn’t love him and that create a personal issue for Phil. Then after Phil got the power of the inner country and now the inner and outer countries were enemies. Phil has a hate against the inner people and the other citizens share the same feeling. The fact to support each country and see the benefits of their citizens creates as well many problems.

Moving on, those problems can stay on history because it can create a big change on either the inner or outer country. To make a radical change on a country or even star to tax or limited decision is something that should be perdurable. Therefore the world would remember it because those changes can affect the way other countries operates bringing to the world a new idea, point of view or way of living. All these analysis is base on the logic and how I understand it however sociology and is not just base on the logic as well then will be the same with the sociological imagination. There would be a personal, history, country and world analysis idea that connect but what is going to happened as I predicted might not be right because as I said before sociology is not just base on logic.

018.0910: Student analyzes George Saunders’ stories through the lens of moral dilemmas, altruism, and egoism.

     On The case of our story the topic of moral dilemma is relate which is presented on the case of an Outer girl that at first was helping Phil to destroyed the inner country which will seems right because she was inner too. Then after seen all the torture and bad treatments he was doing it she change her mind and decide to help the inner country sending a letter to the outer president which was against Phil and her outer country. So we can notice a moral dilemma because she wa actually an outer so she was suppose to help the the outer country and not the inner country. However , she was expose to the suffering of the inner people which doesn’t matter that they were inner they were suffering and she can sees their suffering which as robot or normal residence “Horniteries” she can feel the pain and fairness that Phil was doing. So her moral dilemma was actually help either her country which Will seem the most right thing for the outer or help the inner country against the unjustment of Phil which also seem right because she was helping on a suffering that maybe could she pass the same problem.

    As well Phil was presenting a great example of egoism because he supposedly was helping the outer by charging and make valuable the rights of the outer people and country. However he did all that because actually was helping him to make present the hard feelings against the inner country and make him feel OK. Supposelly the taxes help the outer but Phil did it just to bother the inner. Also when he dissemble the inners he do it just because he wants it and for his convinience. So whatever he did either good for the country or bad which in this case was a bad reputation he just do it because he was caring just about him and what he wanted. On the contrary about altruism we can see it on the girl that decide to help the inner no mattering that Phil can hurt her or dissemble her, so she really shows that put the inner community that was suffering first without really thinking on her and what consequences can bring it to her.

                               Is Walmart Good for America? Who in the film would say yes? Who in the film woud say no? Why/Why not?

Wal-Mart will be consider good for America if it contributes a triumph or will help to expand their influence to other countries.  The America sees Wal-Mart good for it on a way that it brings just positive things and contributes to it to make a bigger growth. On the film the people who will say that Wal-Mart is good for America will be naturally the owners, the Chinese traders and the government if it makes an economy successful.  They saw that they are contributing and bringing new and productive facilities to America so for them they are helping America on a big manner.  The ones on the film that will say that Wal-Mart is not good for America will be the workers on Wal-Mart because they are maybe not getting the salary they would like. As is known Wal-Mart has the lowest prices so that means that it should maintain a balance between the salaries of their workers so it gains also good profits. Personally I think that nothing is perfect and somehow have a certain risk. However, if it causes or has more positive things than negative it could be categorize as a good option or influence on this case for America or on any other situation.

             First for me to be able to apply the sociological imagination we should comprehend what sociology is, which it is a type of science that mains focus on human effects and consequences of their behavior and interactions.  Then we should incorporate the sociological imagination which is a term used to describe the process that allows individuals to see the relationship between their  experiences and events in their personal lives with public society s and one’s place in history. So with this understanding I feel confident that I have achieve the outcome because I have been also applied some of this concepts to my life and I also see it as a world wide and it makes me some how understand some concepts that I have never thought about it.  Some examples of this is the fact about the relationships that today is normal to see people to together and they are no married they just together as husband and wife but there is no commitment. This is something that we see in this times right and some used to said that is better because you get to know the person and them if you want to marry it will be better because you will know who you are marring with. However, a real fact is that what we tough should be it is not. The reality and have been proved is that if those people do not were capable to be on commitment at first they will no do it later and  I think that this some how can damage the relation. Therefore we can see how the people on the old times can Perdue more time together and be more responsible and not like to day. We saw it right but young people that stared to practice this way do not Perdue together and therefore on this times is rare to see couples to last longer. So also we can see that social imagination is not always by the common sense. I personally tough that to live together was right and wasn’t something that I should be worried because I see on New York that younger people practice and though it will be better but as to day on the Bronx or New York or even the whole United States and world if I ever think about be with a person I will be sure to be on commitment and not just live together. Finally for all the reasons above I can said that I have achieve the outcome correctly because I applied social imagination to my own life and the lives of others.

Long time ago there was a puppy love between a young lady know as Kristy and John. They have known each for so long that they hearts were tie together for their love.  Time pass and these two children weren’t kids anymore. Kristy love to help people and more when they were harm or have an injury, besides john wants to be a strong “men” and decide to go the Marines.  Both have to study and but always found a time to show their immense love.  However their goals and dreams haven’t the same path. They knew that they have to separate to be happier but how can you separate something that was tie without damage them, practically impossible.  The distance between them was harder because they had a whole live together and the distance isn’t the best for a relationship. Kristy love to be nurse but she will let it go and found something else if john would do the same. However, john did love her but he doesn’t want to drop his decision and leave Kristy. Kristy was very disappointed and was left for john with an immense grief and retakes her decision to be a nurse. For Kristy to be nurse was hard because for a woman during this wasn’t allot of help. John as an adventurous guy was enjoying and making true his dream, the love that he destroyed wasn’t a priority for him.  Time pass and a war stared; this was known as the World War II. For some people the end of the world was close and Kristy and John were a big part of this war she help the people and John fought for his country. After time of suffering and confusion for the world the war end and it was when John realizes that he can’t die apart from Kristy. He returns to look for her but she wasn’t there she moves she can stay on a place were she remember John every minute. John was now feeling the grief that Kristy past when he left her and with no hope he went to visit for last time the city to remember past time with Kristy. Unexpected a beautiful lady with a mature face look at this men standing on front of an empty street. It has been a long time but John recognize those eyes and beautiful presence both run to get their heart unite and tie as always has been. John got Kristy on his arms and without a word he kiss her not caring the place, the people, the time because he got his part of his life back ageing, mutually let their love came up and that kiss was a beginning for that puppy love that was forgot some day.

My story is base on the sociological imagination because those times were hard to live in and the ladies were highly judge. However, on this case the lady that I named as Kristy do not care about those judgments and let her love be by letting the guy that I named as John to kiss her. Sometimes the young people use to revel and not follow what society sees right and what they were doing was something that showed this. Also, John as a men society saw it men as more daring and it was showed when he didn’t care to let Kristy alone and also when he do not though about the place and kiss the lady. The affections between couple and more if these were young were not seen proper.   However, they do not pay attention to this because they have been apart for so long that they will not let society and judgment them.

The humans stared to kill species in order to survive. We as human are destroying the environment that will lead to the destruction of the planet. Humans are using a lot fossil fuels there are not limiting their selves on anything. The planet and the cycle have been broken and from now on the descending will keep going. Humans are extending their specie against the natural forces and the capacity growth at some point our time of extinction will get.

SCIENCE WATCH; Sex and the Amoeba

Amoeba is a type of cell that it does not reproduce by having sex because some of these species are thought to forget sex. The scientists are concern about it because they study the characteristics and genes of the offspring and the two parents. However the amoebas according to a French team the amoebas were studying showed patterns like those expected of a species that is engaging in sex.

1. Before doing this activity were you aware of any of these events and that they occurred on your birthday?

Honestly no, I wasn’t aware of any of these events personally I think you start thinking from the day you remember and nobody cares what happened the day you born because for you on that day what happened is that you born.

2. Is there anything about any of these events that surprises you?

There is not something that surprises me but caught my attention. The fact that scientist were looking at Amoebas species that I will know until now and that are actually useful at this time kinds of interest me.

3. Do you have any connections, large or small to any of these events?

There are no connections for me with any of these events. Well least I don’t any connection.

4. Do you think that any of these events had an impact, large or small, on your  life or those of your family members that you know of?

Well I think that everything affects everybody maybe not that close but somehow we are affected.  Actually an aricle about the schools migth affect me because I am a student and things that were a help or a problen before today a long term that it is affecting me.

6. What conclusions can you draw about what your city/town was like on the day you were born based on this newspaper? What other observations can be made?

Actually, my city and town were better than to day. Base just on the day it was calm and there problems obviously but there weren;t that big. I can said that the problems just stared so there were no that complicated. Also I think I migth see this problems this way because I am reading this and the way and persuation that people wrote convince me. However, today nobody is making read what I am living and seen and actually experimenting. So it depends how we see it and how we are living it and then after the time how each people look at it.
